From autumn of 2010, 10 big project starts on Corvinus Budapest, one of the best university in Hungary, financed by EU tenders.
Shot with Panasonic GH1, kit lens, Canon TS-E 24 F/3.5 L, Canon FD 50 F/1.4, Zeiss Flektogon 35 F/2.4
We were asked to shoot a ‘behind the scene’ short about the two days photo-shoot of Benfish Jeans autumn-winter collection. The photographer was the very talented Zoltán Sárosi who is one of the best known fashion photographers in Hungary.
First day we started at the studio with the make up, after that we traveled to Szentendre a little touristic place witch is very liked because of the little romantic streets and atmosphere. Here were shot the image pictures, and day two was planed to shoot the pictures for the catalog at the studio in Budapest.
We pretty used all of our gears, and more things we used for the first time in real action, so was the DIY slider, the new shoulder support, the new famous Planar 50 1.7 and some new great Rokkor prime lenses witch are one of the best option for GH1. They cannot be used with Canon EOS cameras, but are great with micro 4/3.
The weather was hot, but great for this kind of work, also the team and the models were very lovely and absolutely professional.
Lenses used:
For the shallow DOF we used ND filters and two CPL. Its effects is almost the same like the Fader ND, we must use the CPL since the ordered Fader ND was not arrived yet.
The GH1 was firmware hacked with the tester13 hack 32Mb AVCHD version.
The next day we shot in a studio a very different condition. The idea was that we shot with the EX1 timelapse and do the closeups with the two DSLR. I operated the slider with the GH1, Marcell the 550D with shoulder support.
The native editing was made in Adobe Premiere CS5 on a 9550 Quad with nVidia GTX285 and RAID0. This powerhouse is really a must if we want to edit fast and native. The CC was resolved with Three Way Color Corrector, the shine effect with the Gain parameter of Luma Corrector effect and Gauss Blur and finally the web page recording is made with Camtasia Studio.
